All recipients of a Home Care Package will receive a historic 11.9% subsidy increase on the 1st of July.
This increase is designed to cover the cost of the wage rise for aged care workers and other price increases. It is hoped that the wage increase will attract thousands more staff into the sector, address workforce shortages, help improve the quality of care for older Australians, and recognise the value and importance of the work performed by these caregivers.
