Positively Planning your Future promises to be an easy-to-understand information session to help you make good decisions about managing your life as you age.
Enjoy an informal morning tea alongside other locals who want to learn more about navigating the aged care system, including the Federal Government’s online gateway MyAgedCare, Home Care Packages and aged care facilities.
Other topics include how to continue living at home, where to get information that is right for your situation, and choices about funding your retirement.
“Most people want to remain in their homes and communities, no matter what their age,” says Paul Ostrowski, CEO Care Connect.
He adds “There is a lot of information out there and it can be confusing for anyone, let alone the people it’s intended for: older Australians, their families and friends. We are looking forward to sharing information about the wide range of services and supports people can choose from as well as tips about designing your own package of support within a budget.”
The event is proudly sponsored by Care Connect and Carers Queensland Inc.
“This session promises to offer people and their carers a range of information and options that will help them live life their way,” says Kath Kelly, Team Leader Carers Queensland Inc.
Respected broker from the Caboolture region, Sunshine Coast Aged Care Placement will be there on the day to answer questions about moving into residential aged care. Beacon Aged Care and Retirement Advisers will be on hand to offer suggestions on how to take financial advantage of home and community care and residential care. Enhance Care Inc. is generously offering the venue free of charge.
